Little Miss....

Here are a couple of pictures of our Little Miss Mika.

She is so sweet and already is showing some personality. That is one of my favorite things about having my three girls - seeing how different their personalities are. She is growing a lot and I'm starting to feel her heaviness when I hold her to feed her. She loves to hear her sisters talk to her and they love to give her little kisses.

This week, the big girls are spending a lot of time with Nana and DaddyGrand so I'm still easing into being a mom of three. I should be fully healed and able to hold the big girls next week, so reality will set in then! We've managed a few family outings - WalMart, Sam's, Red Lobster! We survived, so I consider those outings successes.

There really isn't much else worth posting about. I've been taking it easy and just hanging out with my girls (well, just one girl yesterday and today). I've been feeling extremely blessed by our family - they have all really gone above and beyond to help us out. And we appreciate it more than they will ever know. This week seems to hold more of the same - hanging out with my babies, doing a little around the house, etc. Oh.... and we have a birthday party this weekend for our very special Almost Three Year Old. I'll be doing a few things for that as well.

Happy Tuesday!

10 Days....

My littlest baby is now ten days old.... and she just gets more precious every day!

Everything went as planned with her delivery - arrive at the hospital, get Momma prepped, have a baby. The c-section, however, kicked my bootie. It was a really rough surgery this time (it wasn't bad at all last time, so I wasn't expecting this). As my darling husband put it, "It is a really violent procedure." All I know is that they had to give me some pretty strong drugs during the surgery because I was having such a hard time with it. But then we heard her cry - I'm pretty sure ML was crying before she was completely out of my belly. :) And she continued to cry until she got all wrapped up and was given to her daddy! Here they are right after we got back from the OR.
Mika Lynn
7 pounds 8 ounces
20 3/4 inches long
Absolutely perfect!

The only thing that I feel sad about is that I don't really remember the first time I held her because I was so out of it on the medication. It is a weird, cloudy memory. But thankfully the recovery is going wonderfully! No problems at all there!

My Nanny spent last week with us - it was such a blessing! She will never know how much she means to us. Words can't express it. She was such a help with cooking dinner and taking care of the big girls and letting me take it easy and heal and take care of Little Bit. Don't you just love those squishy cheeks!!!!

The Big Sisters are so excited as well. They love having their baby home and they are very good with her. It is  so special to me to watch them love her. I know they will all three grow up to be best friends!

We are slowly settling into a routine around here. My mom is here this weekend - another blessing!! She's so good to let me rest as much as I need. And Jared has been great! He even kept Mika Lynn for a couple of hours yesterday so I could go return something to Target and get out of the house for a bit. We also had a special lunch date with just the Big Girls - it was really nice and they liked having us all to themselves. Even though having a new baby at home with us is an adjustment, we are all adjusting pretty well.

And here are my Three Little Valentines.... aren't they precious! I'm dying to get a good picture of all three of them so we attempted a laying down picture yesterday. We may try some other poses today. :) Oh I love these girls - they are the loves of my life!

My sweetest friend Katie started a blog for her salon/spa! Check out her blog and enter to win her giveaway!

Also.... Baby Mika Lynn arrived as scheduled last Thursday. This is one busy, tired Momma but when I have some time I'll post pictures and share birth story and such.

Counting down the days....

I'm thinking I won't be able to post tomorrow as I'm spending so much of my time with last minute preparations for the baby coming Thursday. I have a lot to get ready for the girls to be staying home with Nanny while we are in the hospital - I want to make things as easy on her as possible!

So next time I post it will hopefully include pictures of my sweet new baby girl!!! We are all so darn excited to meet her we can hardly stand it! Even the girls - well, I think they may be more excited about all of their grandparents being around for a few days than the new baby, but hey, whatever gets them excited works for me! I want this to be special for them too!

Sunday night we went out for one last dinner as a family of four at our FAVORITE restaurant! It was wonderful and we ALL had a great time! The girls were perfect and the food was amazing and it was just a wonderful way to start out this exciting week.

I had a doctor appointment yesterday and she is just as shocked as the rest of us that I'm still pregnant and that we will make it to the scheduled date. We both just laughed at how crazy this pregnancy has been and how I'm really getting to enjoy EVERY MINUTE of this last pregnancy! :)

I'm really hoping the next 2 days fly by - we have a lot to do so maybe that will help :) And again, I have no pictures because I have packed the camera away in the hospital bags - that is one thing we DO NOT want to forget!!!!

Back to my To Do List - have a wonderful Tuesday!!!!!
